Let me start off with a trigger warning:
****This book, or series, deals with violence and other sensitive issues. This book is not recommended to anyone under the age of 18. If you are sensitive do NOT read these review or these books!****
This is based on a true story which makes the violence all that much more real.
I would like to say that this was a great series, but it is such a horrible one too.
The main character, Kate, goes through the unimaginable and survives. Raped and tortured and the rapist had thought he had killed her like his other victims. She delicately picks up the pieces of her life and tries to piece them back together. It is hard to do when the one man she trusted and counted on betrays her during all of this. She fights for her life, her love and comes out alive.
Derick, Kate’s boyfriend hurt the love of his life because he couldn’t cope with what happened to her. In the end he realizes his mistakes but it is nearly too late because Kate has gone missing! He teams up with Annie, Kate’s sister, to follow clues to find and rescue, not only Kate, but another innocent life. The Photographer is destroyed at last!
In the end you get a glimpse of what created the monster that was the Photographer serial killer. Also there are notes referring to the real life case this is based on and it is still an unsolved case and truly did not end as well as this story did in the end.
The Photographer trilogy is full of suspense and will keep you on the edge of your seat and checking dark corners.
